Historic Balcombe

The picturesque village of Balcombe lies 36 miles south of London and close to Gatwick Airport. It is easily accessible by train and benefits from mainline services to London via Gatwick Airport, and to Brighton via the iconic Ouse Valley Viaduct, designed by renowned architect, Henry Clutton.

The village is well served by a general store, a tea room, a bakery, and the community-owned, Half Moon Inn serving a wide range of drinks and a locally sourced, seasonal menu. At the heart of the village is The Balcombe Club, which serves food, drinks, and hosts a variety of events  and clubs in its Victory Hall.

Nearby Haywards Heath has a wide range of excellent places to eat, such as The Broadway, a group of restaurants, bistros, sandwich shops and wine bars, offering something for everyone. There are also lovely walks and cycle routes.
